Individual & Couples Therapy
Welcome to Wilsey Wellness
About Dr. Wilsey
My name is Kate and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and I value creating a therapeutic space that is warm, nonjudgmental, and validating. I’m deeply committed to supporting individuals and couples as they tackle life’s challenges, with a focus on fostering growth, resilience, and connection.
While I am proud of my clients' positive outcomes from therapy, I am most proud of the relationships we build. Many clients have told me that I feel like a close friend, albeit one who helps them do difficult things and is pretty funny (okay, okay, maybe some leave out that last part about me being funny).
Jokes aside, I consider this career to be my calling and I am honored to be a clinical psychologist. I look forward to each day, whether we are doing a difficult trauma session, problem-solving depression and anxiety, strategizing family gatherings, or simply rating cats (my rescue Tabby, Chase, is a clear 10/10- I am confident you will agree).

Specializing in Trauma Therapies
Attachment Therapy
I use Attachment-Focused EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and relational frameworks to address trust, self-esteem, and relationship dynamics. Guided by compassion, humor, and attunement, I tailor therapy to each person’s unique history.
EMDR
I am passionate about using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help individuals heal from trauma. EMDR can improve sleep, energy, emotion regulation, and anxiety while reducing trauma-related symptoms, enhancing overall quality of life.
Couples Therapy
I use Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples foster acceptance, strengthen connections, improve communication, and even enhance their sex life by addressing emotional and relational barriers.
PTSD
I received year-long trainings in Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), all evidence-based approaches for treating complex trauma and PTSD. These therapies help Patients process their experiences, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and find relief from the emotional and physical toll of trauma.
Complex Trauma
I am honored to work with individuals navigating complex trauma, dissociation, and/or suicidal thoughts. Many of the Patients I serve have endured trauma that impacts their self-esteem, relationships, and emotional well-being. Together, we create a space to explore these challenges, foster resilience, and build lasting hope.
Populations
I have a passion for working with individuals and couples who are Veterans, identify as neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and/or are part of BIPOC communities, offering an inclusive, affirming, and practical approach rooted in cultural humility.
